From the sun-drenched streets of Brisbane to the fashion capital of Manhattan, Amelia Designs began accidentally in my childhood bedroom mid-pandemic when I was 20 years old. While navigating 3 AM classes from Parsons School of Design in New York City, I found myself learning to knit by the pool with my grandmother during a Queensland summer. What began as a pandemic pastime quickly became my passion, within weeks, I had sold my first knitwear collection, and Amelia Designs was born.

Within the year, my hand knits were featured in Vogue and Marie Claire magazines, and I had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with US womenswear brand LoveShackFancy.

In 2021 at 21 years old, I moved to New York City and today, Amelia Designs calls Manhattan home.  My focus remains on bringing true craftsmanship back to fashion, creating pieces designed to last a lifetime, and embracing the philosophy that less is more.
